Those with established heart disease, or who are at special risk of developing it, are offered a thorough assessment. ECGs and all relevant blood tests are performed in-house, and we have direct access to many sophisticated tests which are normally only available after seeing a hospital consultant.

This surgery provides cervical smears which are run by our nursing team.
This service covers every aspect of care for the majority of our diabetic patients. The clinics are run by Dr Hyongyu Cho and our nursing team. Full regular checkups (including eye examinations) and detailed monitoring are offered.
The highest standard of care is ensured by regular audit and close liaison with the hospital department.
Sister Amanda Pragnell runs our respiratory clinic together with Verity Ball one of our healthcare assistants. We offer treatments for newly-diagnosed asthmatics, both adults and children, a detailed assessment, and those already on treatment regular reviews to ensure the best possible control of their condition, plus follow-up care and review for our COPD patients.

3 Year Check
We are happy to offer those patients between 16 and 74 years who are well and rarely consult the doctor an opportunity to have a health assessment by the healthcare assistant once in 3 years.
If you are 75 years of age or over an annual assessment is available. Ask the receptionist for a ‘Well Person Check‘
The Well Woman Clinic offers an opportunity to see a woman doctor for a gynaecological problem.
Seasonal Influenza Vaccination (‘Flu Jabs)
Sessions are held between September and November each year. Times are advertised well in advance at the surgery. Places on the sessions are booked in advance.
We recommend ‘flu vaccination if you are:
- aged 50 and over
- suffer from heart or lung conditions
- have any chronic disease
- a carer
- a poultry worker
Dr Matthew Williams and Dr Natasha Hinves run dermatology clinics at the surgery. Please see your GP for a referral.
Sexual Health Clinic
Dr Rubery, together with one of our Health Care Assistants, run a Sexual Health Clinic giving advice. Prescriptions and contraception including, the pill, emergency contraception, long term hormone implants and intrauterine devices. They will also give advice on sexually transmitted infections
Testing for Hepatitis B and HIV is also available.
The clinic is for pre-booked appointments.
Post Covid Assessment Clinic
If you are being referred to the Post Covid Assessment Clinic, you will be required to complete the Sit to Stand Test. This involves measuring your heart rate and oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter. The pulse oximeter will be leant to you by the Surgery so you can complete the test at home and must be returned. Please watch the YouTube video for instructions on how to complete the test.
